"hoppin' down the bunny trail..."

it's funny how families celebrate the same holiday with such detailed and such different traditions. We are so protective of those childhood memories and believe it is imperative to pass on those very important traditions to our children... Keith and I have recently discovered how different our Easter traditions are. we are having to make some adjustments.... hahaha!
I went to get Urban's Easter basket and what-nots the other day and naturally came home with plastic eggs.
Daddy was quick to question those "ugly things" and i, of course, said, "what? They're to line the 'bunny trail' to his basket that we'll hide." Daddy then exclaimed, "What!?! No, no, no, you are supposed to use REAL eggs!
at which time i responded, "eewww!, disgust... real eggs?" hahahaha.... we went on and on... proceeded to argue about what tradition is better at fostering more positive memories (i won of course... Just kidding Daddy!), but finally decided that he needed BOTH to fulfill his easter holiday.
so we dyed our eggs and we'll mix the real and plastic eggs to his basket as long as he gets to dye the eggs himself... it's not Easter without the great joy of dying eggs!!!
Daddy says it's more for mommy anyway... He might be right, but Urban did enjoy the bright colors and he was able get his hands, a.k.a. tongue on a few. I guess he didn't mind the vinegar taste because he licked that dye right off those eggs! hahaha... Happy Easter!!!
